South Lanarkshire Council will make the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle with the exception of vehicles engaged on the works on Kirkfieldbank Road, Sandilands, Lanark
The Order will come into operation at 07.00 hours on Thursday 6 January 2011 for up to 10 weeks.
The closures are required to allow the installation of Scottish Power cabling. The closures will commence from Thursday 6 January 2011 at 07:00hrs and the various stages of the closures will be in effect when diversionary signing has been erected. Advanced warning signs will be erected to notify of the commencement of each closure and local residents will be kept informed of the works progression.
