South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council (Cambuslang Road/Bogleshole Road, Rutherglen) (Temporary Restriction) Order No.1 2011” and shall come into operation at 00:01 hours on the 10January 2011 and will remain in operation until 23.59 hours on the 29 April 2011. The restrictions will be applied at various times between these dates; this will be indicated on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
No person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works) on the sections of road specified in schedule 1.
No vehicle shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle from any of the roads specified in column 1 of schedule 2 of this Order so as to make a right turn into the road in column 2 of the said schedule.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall permit any vehicles to wait or to load on the lengths of road detailed in Schedule 3 below, by reason of works being executed on or near the roads by Scottish Power
Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure
A. Cambuslang Road (westbound), closed between Hamilton Road and Farmeloan Road.
B. Cambuslang Road (under railway bridge), closed from a point 100 metres west of the extended west kerbline of Ballochmill Road to a point 100 metres east of the extended east kerbline of Ballochmill Road.
Diversion Route
A. Vehicles at the eastern extent of closure should proceed west along Main Street, north along Farmeloan Road to the western extent of the closure.
B. Vehicles at the eastern extent of the closure should proceed east along Cambuslang Road, west along Main Street, north along Farmeloan Road then east along Cambuslang Road to the western extent of the closure, vehicles at the western extent of the closure should proceed vice versa.

A. Vehicles should proceed east along Cambuslang Road, north along Bogleshole Road around the roundabout at Priestly Way (BOC roundabout), south along Bogleshole Road then west along Cambuslang Road to Peebles Drive.
B. Vehicles should proceed west along Cambuslang Road west along Main Street, north along Farmeloan Road then east along Cambuslang Road to the Recycling Centre.
C. Vehicles should proceed east along Cambuslang Road, north along Bogleshole Road around the roundabout at Priestly Way (BOC roundabout), south along Bogleshole Road then west along Cambuslang Road to Broomfield Avenue.
D. Vehicles should proceed west along Cambuslang Road west along Main Street, north along Farmeloan Road then east along Cambuslang Road.
E. Vehicles should proceed east along Cambuslang Road, north along Bogleshole Road around the roundabout at Priestly Way (BOC roundabout), south along Bogleshole Road then west along Cambuslang Road.
F. Vehicles should proceed west along Cambuslang Road west along Main Street, north along Farmeloan Road, east along Cambuslang Road.
