TEMPORARY ORDER 2011
South Lanarkshire Council will make the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on Shieldhill Road, Thankerton, Biggar
The Order will come into operation at 07.00 hours on Tuesday 18th February 2011 and will remain in operation until further notice.
The restriction is required to keep traffic off the damaged road surface. The restriction will commence on Tuesday 18th January 2011 at 07:00hrs. Advanced warning signs will be erected to notify of the commencement of the closure.
Road Closure – ; Shieldhill Road, Thankerton, Biggar
Alternative Route: - Alternative routes will be signed but traffic will be prohibited from travelling north and south on the lower section of Shieldhill Road. Vehicles approaching from the north should proceed east along Cormiston Road then turn right onto C24 Quothquan Law Road to end of diversion. Vehicles approaching from the south to proceed vice versa.
