(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
On 4th April 2024 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Carriageway Resurfacing
Temporary Road Closure – B749 Craigend Road,South Beach, Troon, 900 metres.
The Order commences on 22 April 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 22 April 2024 at 08:00 until 05 May 2024 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected.
Access for residents and deliveries will be maintained via dversion route
An alternative route for Vehicles under 4.7m will be signed via South Beach - Ayr Street - Portland Street - Dundonald Road - Troon Road - B746 - U98 Corraith - A78 - A79 - B749 Monktonhill Road - Craigend Road.
Vehicles over 4.7m will be signed via South Beach - Ayr Street - Portland Street - Jubilee Road - B746 North Shore Road - B746 Beach Road - B746 Kilmarnock Road - A759 - A759 Main Street Loans - B746 - U98 Corraith - A78 - A79 - B749 Monktonhill Road - Craigend Road.
