NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road to allow Scottish Water Works
Name & affected length of road – Elmbank Street, New Road,Ayr - Newton On Ayr
Road Closed - for 15 Meters on Elmbank Street from entrance of Elmbank Street from New Road to back of 137 New Road on Elmbank Street.
No Waiting - New Road - New Road for 20 meters from 133 New Road to 137 New Road.
Nature and period of restriction - Road Closure & Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
This Notice commences on 21 January 2024 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 21 January 2024 at 09:00 with the restrictions remaining until 21 January 2024 at 18:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Notice will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
Alternative route - Signed via New Road - Limekiln Road - Glebe Road - Waggon Road and vice versa
