Order 2023
On 26th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing

No Waiting At Any Time - A719 High Road, Ayr - Whitletts, for 400m
The Order commences on 20 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 20 November 2023 at 18:00 until 27 November 2023 at 08:00
The road is expected to be closed between 18:00 and 08:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access and access for residents, deliveries will be via diversion route
An alternative route will be signed via Diversion via the A77 at Whitletts roundabout onto the B743 Heathfield Road, continue along until the junction of the A79 Prestwick Road and turn left, continue along Prestwick Road until the Tams Brig/Allison Street roundabout and take the second exit and continue along Allison Street until the King Street roundabout, take the first exit onto King Street and continue along Whitletts road until High Road and return.
