(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
On 21st September 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to facilitate Carriageway Resurfacing
Temporary Road Closure – A719 Kirkoswald Road, Maidens for 1950m.
The Order commences on 16 October 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 16 October 2023 at 09:00 until 12 November 2023 at 17:00.
The road is expected to be closed between 09:00 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected.
Access for residents and deliveries will be maintained when safe to do so .
An alternative route will be signed via Travel South from closure to Turnberry onto junction of Kirkoswald Road, turn left, travel A77 and continue along A77 to Kirkoswald Road round about in Maybole, travel straight to Maybole bypass roundabout in Maybole, turn left and travel B7023 continuing onto A719, travel A719 continuing onto closure and vice versa
