On 25 May 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to allow Carriageway Resurfacing 

The Works To Be Carried Out In Three Phases As Listed Below 

Temporary Road Closure – B744 Weston Brae, Browns Crescent, Weston Avenue, Annbank, 

 Phase 1 - Weston Brae approx 260m from Junction of B742 to Browns Crescent. -  expected date of works 12/06/23 - 26/06/23

 Phase 2 -  Browns Crescent approx 200m from Junction Weston Brae to junction of Weston Avenue - expected date of works 26/06/23 -10/07/23

Phase  3 - Weston Avenue approx 460m from junction of Browns Crescent to junction Craighall Place - expected date of works 10/07/23  - 24/07/23

No Waiting At Any Time - B744 Weston Brae , Browns Crescent, Weston Avenue, Annbank, 

Phase 1 - Weston Brae approx 260m from Junction of B742 to Browns Crescent -expected date of works 12/06/23 - 26/06/23

Phase 2 - Browns Crescent approx 200m from Junction Weston Brae to junction of Weston Avenue - expected date of works 26/06/23 -10/07/23

Phase 3 - Weston Avenue approx 460m from junction of Browns Crescent to junction Craighall Place - expected date of works 10/07/23  - 24/07/23

The Order commences on 12 June 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 12 June 2023 at 09:30 until 24 July 2023 at 17:00

The road is expected to be closed between 09:30 and 17:00 each day with it being open out-with these times.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected.

Local access will be via diversion

An alternative route will be signed via From Annbank travel along the B744 to the junction of the A70, once at the junction of the A70 turn right onto the A70 and travel to the A77 Holmston Roundabout, take the third exit from the roundabout and travel along the A77 to Whitletts roundabout and take the fourth exit onto the B743 Mossblown road. Travel towards Mossblown and at the crossroads junction take the right hand turn onto the B742 Annbank Road and follow to destination and return.
