(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
On 10 February 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow the construction of the Burton to Alloway underpass, Doonfoot, Ayr.
Temporary Road Closure – A719 Dunure Road Ayr, From a point 100 metres west of its junction with Cumbrae Drive westwards for a distance of 400 metres.
The Order commences on 25 February 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 25 February 2023 at 00:01 with the closure remaining in place until 13 March 2023 at 23:59.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
The road will be unpassable during these works therefore there will be no access for emergency services or residents.
An alternative route will be signed via A719, Dunure Road, Greenfield Avenue, B7024, B7023 and vice versa.
