On 13 October 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order which continues the weight restriction imposed by a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order on 22 April 2021.


3 Tonne maximum gross weight on that length of the C29/C60 between points 10 metres either side of the carriageway running over the Dalquharran Bridge.


The Order is in force from Saturday 22nd October 2022 and will remain in place until such time as Network Rail contractors can replace the bridge deck, after which this Order will be revoked and replaced with a permanent 3 Tonne weight restriction.


Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and an alternative route suitable for all vehicles greater than 3 tonnes will be signed via the C29 North Water of Girvan / Maybole road, Kilkerran, Ruglen and B741 via Dailly in both directions.
