Notice is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will close the following lengths of road to allow Scottish Water contractors to carry out repairs to ironwork
Name of road – A713 Castlehill Road, closure of the eastbound carriageway between the Station roundabout and a point approximately 35 metres west of Ashgrove Street.
Nature and period of restriction – Eastbound carriageway closure, westbound traffic coming into Ayr will not be affected.
This Notice commences on 16 October 2022 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.
The works are expected to commence from 8.00am Sunday 16 October with the road being reopened before 6:00pm later that same day.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services and pedestrian access will not be affected. Access for residents and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained.
Alternative route - Signed A70 Holmston roundabout / Holmston Road to A77(T) Holmston roundabout, A77 to Bankfield roundabout exit onto A713 Dalmellington Road leading onto Castlehill Road in both directions.
