South Ayrshire Council (B744 Tarbolton – Mauchline) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022 - South Ayrshire Archived

On 15 September 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, for carriageway resurfacing

B744 Tarbolton - Mauchline – From a point approximately 550 metres east, to a point approximately 550 metres west of the U86 Millburn, a distance of approximately 1100 metres.

The Order commences on 26 September 2022 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The works are expected to commence from 8.00am Monday 26 September until 5.00pm on Friday 7 October 2022

The road is planned to be closed between 8.00am and 5.00pm each day with it being open out-with these times. This may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained whenever possible.

An alternative route will be signed via the B744 to Garden Street, Cunningham Street, Montgomerie Street, B730 to the B743 to Mauchline, and A76(T) to the B744 in both directions.
