On 1 September 2022 the Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, made the above-named Order, to allow BT Openreach contractors to upgrade the local network:-
No Right Turn – From the A759 Auchengate Interchange heading towards Dundonald – No Right Turn on to the A78 south towards Prestwick / Ayr. (Southbound traffic on the A759 will not be affected)
The Order is in force from is in force from 09:30 hours on Monday 12 September has a maximum duration of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier and will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. The works are expected to commence from 9:30am Monday 12 September until 6:00pm on Friday 23 September 2022
Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and an alternative route will be signed for affected traffic via the A78 Auchengate north to the Meadowhead roundabout then south on the A78(T) towards Prestwick / Ayr.
