On 16 June 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, for carriageway resurfacing:-


Taylor Street – From a point just west of the junction with Back Peebles Street, north-westwards to its junction with Oswald Lane.
 

Oswald Lane – From its junction with Taylor Street / York Street, northwestwards to the boundary between Nos.54/56 Oswald Lane.
 

The Order commences on 27 June 2022 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The works are expected to commence from 8:00am Monday 27 June until 5:00pm on Wednesday 27 July 2022
 

The road is expected to be closed between 8:00am and 5:00pm each day with it being open out-with these times. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather
conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

 

Emergency Services access will not be affected and access to businesses, for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be
maintained.

An alternative route will be signed via York Street onto Waggon Road then right onto Allison Street then right onto King Street, left onto Main Street
and right onto North Harbour Street.
