NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will close the following length of road to allow BT Openreach contractors to access underground chamber boxes:-
Name of road – C119 Maintree-Howcommon road, from the junction with the C8 Craigiehill Road, south-eastwards to Laigh Borland, just northwest of the junction with the U70 Broadyards.
Nature and period of restriction - Road closure
This Notice commences on 16 May 2022 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 9.30am Monday 16 May until 3.30pm on Friday 20 May 2022.
The road is expected to only be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services and pedestrian access will not be affected. Access for residents to agricultural holdings and deliveries out-with the working zone will be maintained.
Alternative route - Signed via the C64 Lodgebush/Craigie road, C8 Craigiehill road, A719 and the U70 Broadyards in both directions.
