On 14 April 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, for carriageway resurfacing:-
Temporary Road Closure – B744 Mossblown - Annbank – From junction of the B743, south-westwards for a distance of approximately 800 metres.
The Order commences on 25 April 2022 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 8.00am Monday 25 April until 4.00pm on Thursday 5 May 2022
The road is expected to be closed between 8.00am and 4.00pm each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
An alternative route will be signed via B743 through Mossblown turning onto B742 towards Annbank to the B744 at the Railway Bridge in both directions.
