On 19/2/18 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Belmont Road, Ayr (except vehicles engaged in Railway works at the Level Crossing), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

 

The Order is in force from 23:00 hrs on 3/3/18 until 09:00 hrs on 6/5/18, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

The closures will only be in place overnight on each weekend.

 

Emergency services vehicles and Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

 

Alternative Route: via Belmont Road, Castlehill Road, Station Bridge, Burns Statue Square, Parkhouse Street, Beresford Terrace, Carrick Road and St Leonard’s Road and vice versa.
