On 10/11/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful between 07:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Arthur Street, Ayr or cause or permit any vehicle to wait in Boswell Park, Ayr (except vehicles engaged in the “Ayrshire College Graduation Parade” special event), for the purpose of maintaining road safety during the holding of the “Ayrshire College Graduation Parade” event to be executed on or near the road.
The Order shall come into force at 07:00 hrs until 14:00 hrs on 24/11/17, or until the event has concluded whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
