On 10/04/17 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (South Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will impose the following restrictions on vehicles by reason of works to be executed on or near the road—

Road Closures (except to vehicles engaged on Scottish Water works)

On Carrick Pl, High St (20:00 – 06:00 hrs only), Newmarket St and Sandgate (between Boswell Park and Fullarton St – weekend only), Ayr.

Waiting & Loading Restrictions

Either side of Alloway St, Carrick Road, Fullarton St, High St, New Bridge St, Sandgate and on the southwest side of Mill St, Ayr.

Prohibited left turn

From Dalblair Rd into Alloway St, Ayr

The Order is in force from 09:30 hrs on 24/04/17 until 18:00 hrs on 03/12/17, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closureswill be permitted to and from their properties.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.

The closures will only affect one road at any one time. Local diversions will be signed.
