(Various Roads within South Ayrshire) (Temporary Speed Restrictions)
Order 2016
On 14/12/16 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which imposes a variable speed limit on the lengths of roads listed below. The speed limit will only come into operation when speed limit signs denoting the reduced speed limit in accordance with Diagram 670 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002, as amended, are displayed on the affected lengths of road, on the grounds of road works being or are proposed to be executed on or near that road.
No person shall drive any vehicle on any affected lengths of road at a speed exceeding that denoted by the temporary speed limit signs displayed in accordance with Diagram 670.
The Order is in force from 00:01 hrs on 04/01/17 until 23:59 hrs on 22/12/17 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
