Statement of Reasons for making the above Order
As part of an amendment to the original plan, it is necessary to promote a revised length of 20mph speed limit between a point just south of Seaview Terrace to just north of the A759 / B746 / Old Loans Road mini roundabout to compliment the physical traffic calming features contrasting red gateway feature and painted roundels as a visual deterrent to aid enforcement.
This should better facilitate the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles by preventing the use of the road by vehicular traffic in a manner which is unsuitable having regard to the existing character of the road or adjoining property, so enhancing road safety.
