SESplan, the Strategic Developmment Planning Authority covering the local authority areas of City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, Fife (south and west only), Midlothian, the Scottish Borders and West Lothian has prepared a Proposed Strategic Development Plan (SDP). The Proposed SDP sets out a long term vision for development in the region and covers such issues as housing, employment locations, green networks and infrastructure. When approved in 2018, the Proposed SDP will replace the current SDP which was approved in 2013.

The Proposed SDP and the accompanying Environmental Report can be viewed online at www.sesplan.gov.uk and during normal opening hours at public libraries in the region, Local Authority planning offices and at the SESplan Office at the West Lothian Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston EH54 6FF.

Comments on the Proposed Plan, known as representations, can be made during the six week period from 10am on Thursday 13 October to 5pm 24 November 2016. Representations can be submitted using the the SESplan Consultation Portal http://sesplan-consult.objective.co.uk/portal/proposedplan16 or to the address above.
