(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (Hall Street and Tweedholm Avenue East, Walkerburn) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into on 27 May 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 26 July 2024 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 on weekdays only. The Order is required to allow safe access and egress for HGVs delivering to the new Walkerburn Pump Track site.

When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on the following roads in Walkerburn:

  1. Hall Street – from the A72 to Tweedholm Avenue East – west side only;
  2. Tweedholm Avenue East – opposite its junction with Hall Street – south side only;
  3. Tweedholm Avenue East – from Hall Street eastwards for a distance of 315 metres – north side only; and
  4. Tweedholm Avenue East - from the access between 114 and 116 Tweedholm Avenue East westwards for a distance of 10 metres – south side only.
