(BRIDGE STREET, GALASHIELS)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Bridge Street, Galashiels) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 19 November 2023 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, as detailed below. The Order is required for Telecoms works on the telephone exchange.
When the Order comes into effect, in Bridge Street, Galashiels:
(a) no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle from Number 11 to Number 25. The alternative route is via Bridge Place, Ladhope Vale, Stirling Street, Market Street, Cornmilll Square, Bank Street and High Street to the point of closure; and
(b) no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides from Bridge Place to Number 10.
The Scottish Borders Council (The Borders Regional Council) (Various Streets, Galashiels) (Regulation of Traffic) Order 1990 (as amended) will be further amended as follows: the One Way Order on Bridge Street will be partially revoked from Bridge Place to Number 25 to permit access and egress to the Police Station.
