(FOOTPATH – SOUTHERN UPLAND WAY AND BORDERS ABBEY WAY – LAUNDRY CORNER, MELROSE
(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2023
The Scottish Borders Council (Footpath – Southern Upland Way and Borders Abbey Way – Laundry Corner, Melrose) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of six months, will come into force at 07:00 on 18 September 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 31 January 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall walk, cycle, ride or wheel along the Southern Upland Way and Border Abbeys Way footpath at Laundry Corner, Melrose.
The alternative westbound pedestrian route is via the adjacent temporary footpath to the point of closure, the eastbound pedestrian route is the reverse of the foregoing.
