(VARIOUS ROADS – BLAINSLIE AREA)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads – Blainslie Area) (Temporary Closing) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 5 June 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 10 June 2023 as detailed below. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following roads in the Blainslie area:

1. Closure 1: C12 Blainslie from Threepwood Crossroads to Bluecairn on 5 June 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C77, A68, C76 and the D2/4 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
2. Closure 2: C77 Blainslie from Langshaw to Threepwood Crossroads from 08:00 on the 6 June 2023 to 18:00 on 8 June 2023. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the C77, B6374, A7 and the C12 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
3. Closure 3: C64 Ladhopemuir from Langshaw to Ladhopemuir on 9 June 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the C77, C12, A7 and the C64 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
4. Closure 4: C12 Wooplaw from the C77 to Wooplaw on 10 June 2023 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C12, A7, C64 and the C77 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
