(BORDERS FESTIVALS – SELKIRK)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 2 ORDER 2023
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16A(6), Section 16B(1)(b) and Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of eight days shall be in effect on the dates and at the times specified in the Schedule below. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Selkirk Common Riding 2023. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
When the Order comes into effect
no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle, or (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along those lengths of road in Selkirk and the surrounding area on the dates and at the times detailed in the attached Schedule;
on 16 June 2023 a One Way Order in a south-easterly direction will be in force from 05:15 to 12:00 on the C16 Lindean Road from Bankend to the A699. No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle in a north-westerly direction; and
on 16 June 2023 a 30mph speed limit will be in force from 12:00 to 20:00 on the A699 from Whitmuir Hall Toll to the existing 30mph signs at Selkirk.
