NOTICE
ROAD CLOSURE AND REVOCATION OF TEMPORARY ONE WAY ORDER
EXCHANGE STREET, JEDBURGH
In accordance with Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Scottish Borders Council will temporarily close Exchange Street, Jedburgh from Burn Wynd to Friarsgate. The maximum duration of this Notice is 21 days and it is expected that the closure will be in effect from 07:00 on 27 March 2023 to 18:00 on 31 March 2023 – 24 hour closure.
The closure is required for urgent Scottish Power works.
The alternative routes are as follows:
For southbound traffic via Friarsgate, Pleasance, High Street, the A68, Canongate and Exchange Street to the point of closure.
For northbound traffic via Exchange Street, High Street, Pleasance and Friarsgate to the point of closure.
The Scottish Borders Council (High Street, Exchange Street and Queen Street, Jedburgh) (Temporary One Way) Order 2023 dated 8 March 2021 is amended as follows: the One Way Order on Exchange Street, Jedburgh is revoked for the duration of the above closure to permit access to Burn Wynd, Jedburgh.
