THE SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

(MELROSE CHRISTMAS PARADE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2022

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 17:30 on 10 December 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:30. The closure is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Melrose Christmas Parade 2022.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along High Street, Buccleuch Street, Abbey Street and Market Square, Melrose.

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
