(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 4 ORDER 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads, Hawick) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) No 4 Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:01 on 25 October 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 4 December 2022 – 24 hour closure and restrictions. The Order is required to facilitate drainage, ducting works, resurfacing works and creation of an access ramp on to the new Mansfield Bridge.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

  1. drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Mansfield Road, Hawick from Mansfield Crescent to Mansfield Gardens. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Mansfield Crescent, Mansfield Square, Mansfield Park and Mansfield Gardens to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
  2. permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of the following roads in Hawick:
  1. Mansfield Square,
  2. Mansfield Park,
  3. Mansfield Crescent,

(iv) Mansfield Gardens.
