(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2022

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Scott Fest 2022) (Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 12 August 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 14 August 2022 - 24 hour restrictions.  The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending the Scott Fest 2022 event at Abbotsford House.

When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety:

(a)   a 40mph speed restriction will be in force on the B6360 from its junction with the A7 to a point 250 metres west of the Lodge; and

(b)   a 20mph speed restriction will be in force on the B6360 from a point 250 metres west of the Lodge to the A6091 at Tweedbank Roundabout.
