(BORDERS FESTIVALS - EARLSTON)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2022
The Scottish Borders Council are making the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16A(6) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 13:00 on 9 July 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:15 as detailed below. The closures are required to facilitate the holding of relevant events, being the Earlston Civic Week fancy dress parade and torchlight parade.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following lengths of road in Earlston between the hours of 13:00 to 14:00 and 22:15 to 23:15:
East Green, High Street, A68 – from High Street to Mill Road, Mill Road
These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
