SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL

NOTICE

ROAD CLOSURE, PROHIBITION OF PARKING AND

REVOCATION/REVERSAL OF ONE WAY ORDERS

VARIOUS ROADS, KELSO TOWN CENTRE

22 JUNE 2022 TO 1 JULY 2022

In accordance with Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

1. The Scottish Borders Council will:

1. temporarily close Roxburgh Street, Kelso from The Square to Dun’s Wynd;
2. temporarily prohibit parking on the following roads:

Jamieson Entry; Crawford Street; Union Street; and Roxburgh Street – from Union Street to the entrance to the Co-op Car Park.

2. The Scottish Borders Council (Various Streets, Kelso) (Traffic Regulation) Order 2006 (as amended) will be further amended for the duration of this notice as follows:

1. the One Way Order on Roxburgh Street will be revoked from Union Street to the entrance to the Co-op Car Park; and
2. the One Way Orders on the following streets will be reversed:

Jamieson Entry; Crawford Street; Union Street.

The maximum duration of this Notice is 21 days and it is expected that the closure will be in effect from 22 June 2022 to 1 July 2022 – 24 hour closure and restriction.

The restrictions are required to permit emergency Scottish Power repairs to be carried out.
