(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2022

The Scottish Borders Council (Orchard Terrace, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 31 January 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 4 February 2022 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 each day. The Order is required for patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Orchard Terrace, Hawick from Wellogate Brae to Twirlees Road.

The alternative routes are as follows:

Northbound: via Wellogate Brae, Wellogate Place, Dakers Place, Gable End Street and Twirlees Road to the point of closure.

Southbound: via Twirlees Road, Twirlees Terrace, St Ninians Road, Linden Crescent, Bourtree Place, High Street, Cross Wynd and Wellogate Brae to the point of closure
