(VERTISH HILL SPORTS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2021

 

The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6)(b) of the said Act. The Order, which has a maximum duration of one day, will come into force at 12:15 on 18 September 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 13:45. The Order is required to facilitate the holding of a relevant event, being the Vertish Hill Sports Parade.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the following streets in Hawick:

Northcote Street

Dovecote Street

North Bridge Street

High Street

Tower Knowe

Towerdykeside

Backdamgate

Slitrig Crescent

Drumlanrig Square

Loan

Rosebank Road

Haggis Ha Brae

 

These closures will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform and/or appropriate traffic signs are displayed on the affected lengths of road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
