(B6374 MELROSE ROAD & C77 LANGSHAW ROAD, GALASHIELS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2021

The Scottish Borders Council (B6374 Melrose Road & C77 Langshaw Road, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 18:00 on 14 September 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 01:00 on 16 September 2021 as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along:

1. the B6374 Melrose Road, Galashiels at its junction with the C77; and
2. the C77 Langshaw Road, Galashiels at its junction with the B6374,

from 18:00 on 14 September to 01:00 on 15 September 2021 and from 18:00 on 15 September to 01:00 on 16 September 2021.

The alternative routes are as follows:

B6374 Melrose Road Closure: eastbound via the B6374, A7, A6091, B6360 and B6374 to the point of closure, westbound the reverse of the foregoing.

C77 Langshaw Road Closure: southbound via the C77, C64, A7 and B6374 to the point of closure, northbound the reverse of the foregoing.
