(WHITEHALL ROAD, CHIRNSIDE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2021

The Scottish Borders Council (Whitehall Road, Chirnside) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 July 2021 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 18:00. The Order is required for replacement of a Scottish Water manhole cover and frame.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Whitehall Road, Chirnside at its junction with Swan Avenue.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Whitehall Road, Whiteadder Way, the A6105 and Whitehall Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
