(BLACK BULL STREET & NEWTOWN STREET, DUNS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2021

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Black Bull Street & Newtown Street, Duns) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 July 2021 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 18:00. The Order is required for replacement of a defective manhole cover.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a)   drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Black Bull Street, Duns at its junction with Newtown Street. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Black Bull Street, Market Square, Easter Street, Currie Street and Newtown Street to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of Newtown Street, Duns from the entrance to the Co-op car park to number 29 Newtown Street.
