(FOOTWAYS - HINKAR WAY, EYEMOUTH)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2021

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Footways – Hinkar Way, Eyemouth) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of six months, will come into force on 12 July 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 8 August 2021 – 24 hour closures, as detailed below. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall walk or cycle along the following footways and footpaths in Eyemouth:

(a)   Phase 1: Hinkar Way (i) from number 34 to number 42; and (ii) from number 33 to number 39;

(b)   Phase 2: (i) Hinkar Way from number 31 to number 31 Dulse Craig; and (ii) Dulse Craig – the footpath behind Dulse Craig from number 31 to number 29;

(c)   Phase 3: the footpath from Dulse Craig to Haymons Cove; and

(d)   Phase 4: the footpath from 32 Hinkar Way to 26 Hinkar Way.

Phase 1 will commence on 12 July 2021, subsequent phases will commence on completion of the previous phase.

Local footpath diversions will be in place.
