(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) NO 2 ORDER 2021

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Duke Street, Hawick) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) No 2 Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 06:00 on 28 June 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 28 January 2022 as detailed below. The Order is required to facilitate works for Hawick Flood Protection Scheme.

When the Order comes into effect, on Duke Street, Hawick:

(a)   Phase 1: no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked (i) on the north side from Mart Street to Noble Place; and (ii) on the south side from Earl Street to Noble Place from 06:00 on 28 June 2021 to 18:00 on 9 July 2021; and

(b)   Phase 2: a One Way Order in an easterly direction will be in effect from Mart Street to Noble Place from 06:00 on 28 June 2021 to 18:00 on 28 January 2022. The alternative route for westbound traffic is via Noble Place, Trinity Street, Weensland Road and Mart Street to the point of restriction.

The Scottish Borders Council (Duke Street, Hawick) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2021 made on 17 May 2021 is hereby revoked with effect from 06:00 on 28 June 2021.
