(B6357 TINNIS BRIDGE, SOUTH OF NEWCASTLETON)

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2021

 

The Scottish Borders Council (B6357 Tinnis Bridge, South of Newcastleton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a duration exceeding eighteen months, shall come into force at 16:00 on 2 June 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until such time as the repairs to Tinnis Bridge are completed. Scottish Borders Council are satisfied that the execution of the works will take longer than eighteen months and will revoke the Order as soon as the works are completed. The Order is required to ensure a safe driving and working environment due to the condition of the bridge and whilst bridge repair works are being carried out.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along the B6357 at Tinnis Bridge, south of Newcastleton, from a point 100 metres south of the bridge to a point 100 metres north of the same bridge.
