(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2021

The Scottish Borders Council (B6399 Whitropefoot) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 5 May 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 19 May 2021 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 as detailed below. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6399 at Whitropefoot, north of Newcastleton, as follows:

(i)    from 5 May to 7 May 2021;

(ii)   from 10 May to 14 May 2021; and

(iii)  from 17 May to 19 May 2021.

The alternative routes are as follows:

Southbound: via the B6399, Albert Road, Wilton Path, Princes Street, the A7, Mart Street, the A698, A6088, B6357 and B6399 to the point of closure.

Northbound: via the B6399, B6357, A6088, A698 and B6399 to the point of closure.
