(WHITEHAUGH AVENUE AND CADEMUIR DRIVE, PEEBLES)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Whitehaugh Avenue and Cademuir Drive, Peebles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 26 October 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 15:30 on 27 October 2020 – 24 hour closure and restriction. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a)   drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Whitehaugh Avenue, Peebles at its junction with Cademuir Drive. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Whitehaugh Avenue, Glensax Road, Glen Road, Witchwood Crescent and Cademuir Drive to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on both sides of the following roads:

       (i)    Cademuir Drive, Peebles – from a point 40 metres west of Whitehaugh Avenue to a point 35 metres east of the same junction; and

       (ii)   Whitehaugh Avenue, Peebles – from Cademuir Drive north-westwards for 60 metres.
