(BUCCLEUCH PLACE AND BEACONSFIELD TERRACE, HAWICK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (Buccleuch Place and Beaconsfield Terrace, Hawick) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 28 October 2020 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of two days between the hours of 08:00 and 15:30 each day. The Order is required for patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Buccleuch Place and Beaconsfield Terrace, Hawick from Buccleuch Street to Myreslaw Green.

The alternative routes are as follows:

Southbound traffic - via Buccleuch Street, Sandbed, Howegate, Drumlanrig Square and Beaconsfield Terrace to the point of closure

Northbound traffic – via Beaconsfield Terrace, Drumlanrig Square, Kirk Wynd, Slitrig Crescent, Tower Dykeside, Tower Knowe, Sandbed and Buccleuch Street to the point of closure.
