(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (D172/6 Harehead) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 19 October 2020 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of 18 months – 24 hour closure and will be in effect only when appropriate traffic signs are in place. The Order is required for safety reasons due to the condition of the road.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D172/6 from Harehead to the D173/6.

The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the D172/6, B6355 and D173/6 to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
