(A7 GALASHIELS AT 40MPH SIGNS)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (A7 Galashiels at 40mph Signs) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on:

(i)      Monday 28 September 2020 until Friday 2 October 2020 between the hours of 09:00 hours and 17:00 hours each day; and

(ii)     Monday 5th October 2020 and Tuesday 6th October 2020 between 09:00 hours and 17:00 hours each day.  The Order is required  for carriageway resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A7 Galashiels at the 40 mph signs at the north of the town.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the A7, B6367, B6458, A68T, A6091T and A7 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
