(D101/4 KALEMOUTH SUSPENSION BRIDGE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2020

 

The Scottish Borders Council (D101/4 Kalemouth Suspension Bridge) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 18 September 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 17 March 2021 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for bridge works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D101/4 at Kalemouth Suspension Bridge.

The alternative route for westbound traffic is via the A698, B6400, C47 and D101/4 to the point of closure, for eastbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
