(FOOTWAY, CHAMBERS TERRACE, PEEBLES)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (Footway, Chambers Terrace, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 17 August 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 23 August 2020 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall walk or cycle along the footway on Chambers Terrace, Peebles.

The alternative southbound pedestrian and cycle route is via Caledonian Road, the footway from Caledonian Road to Frankscroft, Frankscroft and Chambers Terrace to the point of closure, the northbound route is the reverse of the foregoing.
