(TEMPORARY CLOSING) NO 2 ORDER 2020

 

The Scottish Borders Council (Church Street, Eyemouth) (Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 27 July 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 4 April 2021 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Water works.

When the Order comes into effect:

(a)   no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Church Street, Eyemouth. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via Manse Road and Harbour Road to the point of closure; and

(b)   Harbour Road car park, Eyemouth will be closed for the duration of the road closure.

The provisions of The Scottish Borders Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2019 will continue to apply subject to the restrictions relating to Harbour Road Car Park, Eyemouth imposed by this Order.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.
