(HALLIBURTON TERRACE AND MAGDALA TERRACE, GALASHIELS)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020

The Scottish Borders Council (Halliburton Terrace and Magdala Terrace, Galashiels) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2020 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.  The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 23 March 2020 and is expected to remain in effect until 16:15 on 3 April 2020 – 24 hour closure and restriction. The Order is required for gas main replacement works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall:

(a)   drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Halliburton Terrace, Galashiels at its junction with Magdala Terrace. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Magdala Terrace, High Buckholmside, Ladhope Bank and Halliburton Place to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and

(b)   permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on Magdala Terrace, Galashiels from Halliburton Terrace northwards for 52 metres.
